Year of the Reindeer - Farm visit
Year of the Reindeer – Farm Visit Step into the world of the reindeer and get an up-close look at these iconic Arctic animals. During this guided visit to the reindeer farm, you'll have the opportunity to feed the reindeer, observe their behavior, and learn about the deep-rooted traditions of reindeer herding and the culture of the reindeer people. Reindeer herding is a centuries-old tradition that has remained largely unchanged over thousands of years and is still actively practiced in Lapland. The animals are perfectly adapted to the harsh northern climate, and reindeer husbandry follows the natural rhythms of the seasons. In the summer, most reindeer roam freely in the wilderness, returning closer to human care when needed—especially during snow-heavy winters, when they may require supplemental feeding. Transportation If you would like transportation, please add it during the reservation process. Pickup details will be provided after booking. Pickups begin approximately 30 minutes before the tour starts. If you plan to arrive independently, please ensure you are on time.
